HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK :
Did you know Cardano has NFT? The CNFT community went ballistic on Twitter by blasting this line everywhere, and had it echoing across the metaverse. This was probably one of the lines I’ve seen the most over the weekend. I wonder if Cardano has NFTs or it’s just a meme though.
The Cardanospace Faceoff: Over the past week, the CNFT community participated in a heated face-off, a battle the Cardanospace team has called: Battle of the OGs. The concept was simple, let the community show which project has the biggest community by uploading the their NFTs there. The final result was a win for SpaceBudz, with a final score of 981 vs 534.

Physical Masterpieces as NFTs? Yup, this week we got one hell of a special NFT we were introduced to. The Zamarad, a 17,420-carat emerald horse sculpture, will come as an NFT providing ownership of an exceedingly rare physical asset. The asset will be sold in an auction, starting at a staggering 50 Million $ADA, so don’t miss out on this historical event.

TOOL OF THE WEEK : P2P Trading Tools
P2P Trading tools enable users to securely and instantly trade Cardano native assets from tokens, CNFTs as well as ADA without the requirement of an escrow service. The following two tools are projects that opened the possibility of P2P trading to Cardano users :
AtomicSwap:
AtomicSwap is a Cardano P2P trading tool founded by Frank Hampus, the service is pretty straightforward and allows Cardano users to exchange Cardano native tokens, here is a look at an Atomic Swap session :
Atomic Swap
Atomic Swap
To start a trade you need to connect to Atomic Swap via a CCvault or Nami wallet, then you share the link of the session with the other party of the trade, each party adds the assets to be exchanged and locks them for the trade, each party will pay a 1 ADA commission for the swap.

Trading Tent:
Trading Tent is a P2P Cardano trading tool founded by the team of Fort Gotten a Cardano NFT project. The first step is to connect a compatible Cardano wallet to the website, then you open a new tent which is possible to protect with an optional password, after creating the tent you share its link with the other party of the trade, each party selects the desired assets to trade, confirms the transaction and submits it. Trading Tent also provides policy verification for popular CNFT projects in order to protect their users, nonetheless it is possible to trade non verified assets. Here is a look at a Trading Tent session :

FEATURED NFT OF THE WEEK: DISCO SOLARIS
This week’s Featured NFT Project is peculiar one, it’s a universe of its own.
This week, we’re covering Disco Solaris, a collection of 5777 unique NFTs following the PFP trend but with a very cyber punk style with an 80s touch.
Their team is not doxxed, but we have a little of how it’s composed. The co-founders,Mr. Dim and Mr. Dot met each other in the game development industry, and are the ones leading the project. We have also the art team with Deadpaint, Amber VHS, Dr. Madfusion and Dr. Chaykin as the main contributors. At last we have Archangel, who is their Blockchain developer.
Disco Solaris
Disco Solaris
Disco Solaris is a story-driven 80s retrotopia on Cardano. It’s a collection of algorithmically-generated, hand-drawn profile picture NFTs, blending science-fiction and the culture of the 1980s, inspired by artists such as Moebius.
They call their style “DiscoPunk”, think Dune swimming in synthwave, or an idealized version of 80s Miami mixed with modern eco-city designs.

The collection includes two completely separate male and female “bases”, with about 20 traits and 150 elements per gender, each of them meticulously hand-drawn by Deadpaint, their main artist.
This means there are as many as around 300 elements in the collection (some of them shared, with small modifications, between males and females). On top of that, the collection includes several rare custom characters drawn entirely “from scratch”, instead of being algorithmically-generated, which you will also have a chance to mint.

The collection is dropping 8th February 2022 at 7PM UTC, for 55 ADA a piece. The limit per wallet will be 5 NFTs during the drop and the team grants full rights to the purchased NFTs.
The mint will not be via a pay-in address, and will only go live on their website: https://discosolaris.com/
